Supplemental Site Assessment

  • Location: Fort Myers, FL

Supplemental Site Assessment (SSA) activities as part of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) Low Score Site Initiative (LSSI) Program:

PROJECT SCOPE: The Elementary School property was listed on the FDEP site cleanup list due to historical information indicating that the Site may have been impacted by the underground storage tank used to power the school’s boilers, we had to get the Construction Generator Rental naples fl for this project, at the end everything worked out.   In order to determine if the Site was actually impacted, AMRC conducted historical research by reviewing the STCM and OCULUS databases for historical assessment activities at the site.  Based on the historical documentation, AMRC personnel conducted soil sampling activities including the advancement of 12 soil borings using hand auger and direct push technology.  Soils were field-screened for OVA responses and select samples were submitted to a laboratory for analysis.

The analytical results of the soil samples revealed the presence of low levels of Polynucleic Aromatic Hydrocarbons.  Therefore, AMRC developed a sampling protocol to determine if the exceedences could be explained by anthropogenic causes.  In conjunction with the soil sampling activities, AMRC performed groundwater sampling activities consisting of the installation and subsequent sampling of four monitoring wells.

All sampling was conducted in accordance with the applicable FDEP Standard Operating Procedures and submitted to a State of Florida approved analytical laboratory for analysis.  Both soil and groundwater samples were laboratory analyzed by EPA Methods 8260, 8270, and laboratory method FL-PRO (TRPH).  The design workshop іѕ іntеndеd for thоѕе іntеrеѕtеd іn a more соmрlеtе undеrѕtаndіng of thе planning and design principles and рrасtісеѕ for drainage, sub-irrigation аnd wаtеr table mаnаgеmеnt systems, those іntеrеѕtеd wіll get tо knоw more about the best Trench Shoring Equipment іn the past included agricultural рrоduсеrѕ, lаndоwnеrѕ, соnѕultаntѕ, drаіnаgе соntrасtоrѕ, government аgеnсу ѕtаff аnd water resource managers.  Based on the results of this sampling and analysis, AMRC recommended that the Site should be granted a Site Rehabilitation Completion Order (SRCO) thus reassuring the parents and faculty that the school was not contaminated by petroleum related constituents.
